Park Sketch

I did this sketch one day at the park in my old neighbourhood. Looking at it brought back alot of memories of walking over there with a book and sketchpad in my hand (and a bottle of suntan lotion) and chillaxin' for hours on the bench surrounded by trees.

...the other sketch is of a 'very nice man' knitting. Because only in drawings (a perfect world) men knit.

More Sketchbook Findings

I found some more sketchbook stuff that is mostly pen/ink stuff from a while ago. I hope you guys like them!

Conte' Teapot

Not the greatest study of a teapot using colored conte, but overall a great attempt on my part.

Gloomy Sketch

A rather "Egon Schiele-ey" inspired sketch I did of myself from a portrait. I like it. I think I may have been PMSing during that time.

Watercolors

Here are some Watercolors that I did some years ago...plus some fairly recent ones that were done for a school project.

Some Older Drawings That I Like

I thought I's share some older drawings that I kept around. I still like them.
I hope you do, too.

Coraline Premiere

On February 2nd, of 2009 I met (and talked to) the man of my dreams: Neil Gaiman.

It was everything that I hoped it would be.

Not only did I get to ask him a question which happened to be:

"How is it for you...in the literary world...being a sex symbol?"
(I still don't even thoroughly remember his response, I was in such awe)

I got my book signed, and cried happy tears on the way home! I had waited for that moment for years.

As I was approaching him with book in trembling hands, I had 'that voice' egging me on to tell him how much I a) LOVE him and his work b) and how he and Dave Mckean helped me get my life together! And then...sure enough... I took one look into that handsome face and just could'nt do it! Another reason for turning on the tears in the car.

" Did that really just happen? Did I meet him? Did I actually 'speak' to him, and have him 'answer me?!"

....Brings a whole new meaning to the term of "Ask and Ye Shall Recieve" for me.
